"DO THE STARS SHINE WHEN THE DAWN BREAKS" is a poem that illustrates indirectly with the use of similar and metaphor to criticize the government. At first the poem identify them as the savior the masses rest on and trust in but later in the last stanza, likened them to the despair in the masquerade of hope which grew way less more than our expectations."

Do the stars shine when Dawn wakes

DO THE STARS SHINE WHEN THE DAWN BREAKS

Their bright illuminates
When the night wakes to haunt;
Their eyes blinds,
For shattered hearts to heal
—And love without discrimations.
They're gods among men
Who tread the Earth's heart with bare feet

Their minds are like universes in collision
Breeding seeds of planet while they watch them sprout.
They share their laughter in unison
And hide their tears behind their brows
For what brings hope never clamour when fear threatens.
They're bandages to the shattered minds
Even when thiers, cracks and threatens to fall

They're unrepentant farmers above heels
Who cultivates the future for followers from scattered regions
Who donates each  seed of Hope and faith
Gotten from the sweats the sun purged from their old skins
To build a farm where even the worms feeds
And the throats never yawns for more crumbs of rotten nuts

Thier thoughts are scattered thread
Locked with many of such fate.
They are the bruised Shephards
Who remains restless at the bleats of a sheep in danger
When the wolves growl.
They breathe through the smile of the city
And bleed when the smoke wisp in the sky from it.

They're are stars among men!
The chosen saints among billions. But are they?
For the reality scribbles the deeds better than our imagination./expectations
Their gold silks raise their shoulders high
Above those who sew for them to fit in
They're the shades in the hopeless' dreams
They are despairs in a masquerade of hopes
